Wow... so summers kaput pretty much? joy. My plates fairly full these days, but whose isn't? i really don't have much to gripe about. but ppl always gripe regardless don't they?
Comic Con is coming!! so i've started compiling artwork for the big event... and a jack skellington piece was near the top of my list of things.
ALSO - tis my birthday on good ol 9.11. - drinks shall be downed.
needed a new post... I've got so much stuff i need to scan in, so hopefully i'll get a chance to post more soon. Also: Starting my prep for comic con! only 2 months away! whoot.
Twas the "99 pieces of art on the wall" galleries opening last night - besides it being somewhat of a sauna in the studio full of people and bright lights- really fun times were had.

been concentrating my artistic efforts on a gallery im entering in a couple weeks, I'm almost ready for print prep. exciting times :)
you know whats especially interesting? as soon as you find yourself drowning in projects, you think of 12 other things you would rather be working/starting on. But as soon as you have free time- you go blank.
still under construction... I wanted to use this piece for an upcoming gallery- however I've been staring at it so long that i don't know what to think of it anymore, y'know?
Im in the process of getting my first 12pg comic ready and coloured, the script is about 80% done, the main characters are nailed and ready to go... its all coming along.
The first issue takes place on a colossal airship, one that has a huge dining/dancing hall.
Think floating Titanic.
I think this sketch will help me with the final drawings, however I need some much more dynamic shots- I plan on using this sketch as a background painting in the captains cabin or such tho.
Mermaids rock. Scanned in the first one, printed it out at 10% transparency and drew it again, this time making the hair look a little more like "seaweed dreads" ( copyright, me :p ), going to make a coloring attempt sometime soon!
also planning on checking out the River City Collectors Expo this weekend, just to see what thats all about, anyone ever been??
