The Swine Flu Vaccine

I've had a cold the last couple days... and with all this crazy swine flu craziness,
i couldn't help but feel paranoid.

But then it turns out that swine flu is a sissy wuss of a virus.

However, from what the media is making of it, it sounds like the black plauge part 2...
slow month for news i guess.

and i don't actually have it.

been concentrating my artistic efforts on a gallery im entering in a couple weeks, I'm almost ready for print prep. exciting times :)

you know whats especially interesting? as soon as you find yourself drowning in projects, you think of 12 other things you would rather be working/starting on. But as soon as you have free time- you go blank.

colour comp

trying out some colours with watercolour pencils- ill use this as reference for the final digital painting.

a reeeeallly big boat. that flies.

Im in the process of getting my first 12pg comic ready and coloured, the script is about 80% done, the main characters are nailed and ready to go... its all coming along.

The first issue takes place on a colossal airship, one that has a huge dining/dancing hall.

Think floating Titanic.

I think this sketch will help me with the final drawings, however I need some much more dynamic shots- I plan on using this sketch as a background painting in the captains cabin or such tho.

Mermaids rock.
Scanned in the first one, printed it out at 10% transparency and drew it again, this time making the hair look a little more like "seaweed dreads" ( copyright, me :p ), going to make a coloring attempt sometime soon!

also planning on checking out the River City Collectors Expo this weekend, just to see what thats all about, anyone ever been??
